QING DYNASTY JADE &
HARDSTONE PANEL |
Early with beautifully carved
vases and other implements in various colored jade and other hardstones with
one green jade box, signed. Some
of the branches are red coral, others are carved teak. The ropes holding the suspended white
jade fish are also of coral. The
inscription in upper left is of ivory, all mounted on a red lacquered ground
and set in a finely molded teak frame. The entire panel is hung from cast bronze mount at top and all has
wonderful old patina. Fine
condition. 24" x 48

intricately carved in brown soapstone with wonderful dragon on top of
lid. Both sides of lid and body
have beautifully carved high relief Zodiac animals including rabbit, snake,
squirrel, ox, tiger, rooster, dog, pig, ram, horse, and monkeys. Foo lion mask handles with large free
swinging rings, on three foo lion mask feet, in nice old patina. A couple of very minor chips,
