Aurelio Zingoni (Italian, 1853-1922) 42" x 30" oil on canvas titled "The Chimney Sweep". Portrait of young sweep eating at table with coins, radishes and jug on table, sweep tools hanging on wall to right. Signed lower right "A. Zingoni" and dated "1887". Aurelio Zingoni was born in Florence. Influenced by the earlier Flemish painters, his paintings reveal his sympatric observation of nature and careful attention to realistic detail.
