245 VICTOR CASENELLI (CINCINNATI, OH) WATERCOLOR Victor Casenelli (Cincinnati, Ohio & Michigan, 1867-1961) 12" x 18" watercolor of sheep.  Signed lower right "V. Casnelli".  Painting was probably done in Cincinnati where he spelled his name Casnelli, later he spelled his name Casenelli.  Victor Casnelli born in New York and came to Cincinnati in the 1880s.  His association with Cincinnati's western artists such as Henry Farny inspired him to turn his attention to western subjects.  After twelve years in Cincinnati he moved to Muskegon, Michigan in 1905.  Among one of his many accomplishments he painted murals for former President William H. Taft.  Well listed artist.  Fine condition.  EST. $400. - $800.

247 THOMAS CORWIN LINDSAY (CINCINNATI, OH) WATERCOLOR Thomas Corwin Lindsay (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1845-1907) 14" x 12" watercolor of lions. Signed lower left "Lindsay".  Thomas Corwin Lindsay, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, was a well known painter of landscapes, animal subjects, and occasional portraits.  He was a founding member of the Cincinnati Art Club.  He exhibited at the Cincinnati Industrial Exposition from 1870-83, Pogue's in 1875, and the Art Institute of Chicago, Illinois in 1896.  His works is in the collection of the Cincinnati Art Museum.  Listed in Samuels, Who's Who, Davenports, etc.  Fine condition.  EST. $400. - $800.
248 CHARLES S. TODD, ROOKWOOD ARTIST (CINCINNATI, OH) PAINTING Charles Stewart Todd (Cincinnati, Ohio, 1885-) Rookwood artist 28" x 32" oil on canvas of still life.  Signed lower right "C.S.Todd".  Charles Todd was born in Owenboro, KY.  He studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy with Alfred Snell and A. Heiter.  He worked for the Rookwood Pottery Company in Cincinnati, OH.  A fine painting by a Rookwood artist.  One small pin head size hole and small scratch; otherwise, fine condition.  EST. $500. - $1000.
249 ALFRED A. BRUNEL DE NEUVILLE (FRENCH) OIL PAINTING "KITTENS" Alfred Arthur Brunel de Neuville (French, 1851-1941) 18" x 15" oil on canvas of kittens.  Signed lower left "Brunel Neuville".  Alfred de Neuville was a French artist working in Paris who devoted his talents to portraying the different moods of cats and kittens, still lifes, etc.  In 1879, he began exhibiting at the Paris Salon.  He became a member of the Salon in 1907.  He is listed in Benezit, "Dictionnaire des Peintres, Sculptures, Davenports, etc.   A great painting by a fine artist of two kittens drinking from a bowl of milk with their ball toy to the side.  Fine condition.  EST. $2000. - $3000.

259 FOUR PIECE EUROPEAN STERLING SILVER COFFEE AND TEA SERVICE Includes coffee pot 10 1/2 h, teapot 8" h, sugar 5 1/2" h, and creamer 4 5/8" h.  Marked on the bottom with a crescent moon followed by crown sterling 925 chalice.  No monogramming.  Included with the four piece service are two trays in silverplate.  One tray is a 11 5/8" long oval tray to match design of tea service.  Marked "Alpacca, O/W, Versilbert" on the bottom.  The second tray also matching design 27" long from handle to handle and 22" wide.  Marked "Alpacca, O/W, Versilbert" on the bottom.  Excellent condition.  63.25 troy oz.  EST. $500. - $1000.

This flatware set has a total of 53 pieces including eight 6 7/8" luncheon forks, eight salad forks, eight 5 1/2" teaspoons, eight 8 7/8" luncheon knives, six cream soup spoons, two oval dessert spoons, one 5 7/8" teaspoon, three tablespoons, one cold meat fork, one pear shape serving spoon, one gravy ladle, one sugar spoon, one 9 3/8" lettuce fork, one Baltimore Rose master butter knife; one lemon fork, and one cheese or spread knife.  Monogrammed "W" on the back.  This is a beautiful set in excellent condition.  71.5 troy oz.  EST. $700. - $1500.
