281 VERA STEVENS (WALTHAM, MA) OIL PAINTING Vera (Mrs. Anderson) Stevens (Waltham, Massachusetts, 1895 -) 14" x 18" oil on board titled "B Street, Provincetown".  Signed lower right "Vera Stevens".  Titled on back stretcher.  Vera Stevens was a pupil of George Elmer Browne.  She was a member of the National Association of Women Artists, Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, Provincetown Art Academy, etc.  Listed in Davenports, Who's Who, etc.  A great painting by a fine artist.  Fine condition.  EST.  $1000. - $2000.
282 FRANK A. BARNEY (AUBURN, NY) OIL PAINTING Frank A. Barney (Auburn, New York, 1862-1954) 12" x 16" oil on board of landscape with lake scene.  Signed lower left "F.A. Barney".  Pencil on back of frame, "Auburn, N.Y., 1944".  Frank Barney was born in Union Springs, New York.  In 1886, he moved to New York City and was a student in the Arts Student League.  In 1889, he studied at William Merrit's Post.  In 1895, he traveled to Paris to study.  Barney moved to Auburn, New York, permanently in 1907.  He was a member of the Salmagundi Club.  He became known as the "Dean of Auburn Artist".  His works are in the Syracuse Museum of Fine Art and the Binghamton Museum of Art.  He is listed in Davenports, Who's Who, etc.  Fine condition.  EST. $400. - $800.

284 JOHN KNOWLES HARE (NEW YORK, NY) WATERCOLOR John Knowles Hare (New York, New York, 1884-1947) 12" x 10" watercolor titled "Cape Cod".  Signed "John Hare" lower right.  Titled in pencil on back of frame paper "?-Cape Cod & dated 1941".  John Hare was born in Montclair, New Jersey.  He was a member of the Society of Illustrators in New York.  He did covers for Ladies Home Journal. Brunner (California, 1883-) 22" x 26" oil on canvas of seascape.  Signed lower right.  Lawrence Brunner was a pupil of Duveneck.  He studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy, Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, etc.  He exhibited at the P & S of Los Angeles in 1938 and 1942.  He is listed in Artists in California, Hughes, Who's Who, Davenports, etc.  Slight craquelure.  Good condition.  EST. $300. - $500.
286 MARIUS SCHMIDT (CALIFORNIA) WATERCOLOR Marius Schmidt (California, 1868-1938) 5 1/2" x 12" watercolor of landscape.  Signed lower left "M. Schmidt".  Ca. 1910, in original frame.  Marius Schmidt was born in Kolding, Denmark.  In 1880, he was sent to the United States.  He studied under Jorgensen and Moller.  He settled in California.  He exhibited at the San Francisco Art Academy.  He is listed in Artists of California, Hughes, Who's Who, Davenports, etc.  Fine condition.  $200. - $500.
287 HANS KLEIBER (DAYTON, WY) WATERCOLOR Hans Kleiber (Dayton, Wyoming, 1887-1967) 18" x 14" watercolor of a duck rising from the river.  Signed lower right "H. Kleiber".  Hans Kleiber was a U.S. Forestry Ranger until 1924 when he devoted his entire time to art.  In 1931, he received the Silver Medal Award from the California Print Makers Society.  He was a member of the Associated American Artists.  His works are in museums throughout Wyoming.  He is listed in P & H. 305 MAGNIFICENT LARGE VICTORIAN SILVERPLATED PLATEAU MIRROR FOR A LARGE BANQUET TYPE TABLE 27" x 25" rectangle shape with a column in each corner with small urns atop each column.  There is beautiful fencing between each column 4"-5" h. with floral filigree work and two mythological medallions on each strand of fence inside and out.  The center is open with a  23" square plateau type mirror in the bottom.  Ca. 1850-1875. 306 VICTORIAN SILVERPLATE TEA SERVICE BY DERBY SILVER CO. This set includes hot water pot 14 3/4" h; teapot 10" h; sugar 8 1/4"; creamer 6 1/4"; waste bowl 5 7/8".  This is a fantastic set as all five pieces are footed with floral designs and in excellent condition and near mint silverplating.  The tray is 28" x 18" and made by Middletown Silver Co.  This is a nice Victorian tray with some wear to the plating; otherwise, fine condition.  EST. $200. - $500.
