290 RODERICK DEMPSTER MACKENZIE (MOBILE, AL) PASTEL Roderick Dempster MacKenzie (Mobile, Alabama, 1865-1941) 10" x 13" pastel of a mountainous landscape.  Signed lower right "R.D. MacKenzie" and dated 1935.  Roderick MacKenzie was born in London, England and studied at the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts, etc. with Constant, Laurens, Jules Lefebure, etc.  He was a member of the Royal Society of London.  He settled in Mobile, Alabama.  His works can be found in several museums and at the State Capital in Montgomery, Alabama.  Listed in Who's Who, Davenports, etc.  Fine condition.  EST. $300. - $600.
